Single Elimination Tournament 

  • Best 2 of 3 Pulls (Pull lasts 60 seconds)
  • 90 seconds rest between pulls
  • Winners of each round will advance to the next round.
  • Losers in each round will move to the losers bracket for a chance to win their way back into the tournament.
  • Teams will receive additional points for each win.
  • Teams will be scheduled to compete in the Preliminary Rounds from 9:30 am – 11:30 am.
  • Teams that win enough matches in the prelims will compete in the Semi Finals from 12 – 1.
  • Teams that win all their rounds in the Semi Finals will advance to the Championship Round at 1:30PM

  • Four Tug Ropes (Black, Red, Green and Blue) will be used to coordinate the tournament.
  • Two yellow markers will be attached to each rope, each 5 ft from the center color coded pennant. These are the markers that will be used to determine winning teams.
  • Do NOT tie rope around arm or body under any circumstance.
  • There is no weight limit for team members.
  • NO SITTING DOWN ON THE GROUND allowed.
  •  Officials will give the Start Signal by blowing a whistle after soliciting a verbal confirmation of “Ready” from both team coaches.
  • Win by pulling opposing Team’s Pennant over mark or maintain the pennant advantage at the 60 second time limit.
  • If the teams are tied at 60 seconds, the color-coded flag will remain in the middle (straight up) and teams will be told to “keep pulling” into overtime.
  • The first team to gain a clear advantage will be the winner. The “Flag Official” will bring down the flag on the side of the team that won or has the advantage.
  • If you are the winner of your tug, you proceed to the holding area to await your next tug. Tugs will be scheduled approximately 10 to 15 minutes apart.
  •  We recommend wearing a long sleeve shirt and gloves.
  • No shoes with cleats, spikes, studs, hobnails, or metal fittings
  • Boots or tennis shoes must be worn
  • Each team has a limit of 6 people per team
  • Each team must have a minimum of 2 women
  • Game time is forfeit time, if your team is not there at your scheduled time you will forfeit.
